Flying Blue Promo Rewards for September

The Air France KLM Flying Blue loyalty program is well-known for its monthly rotating series of Promo Rewards, which offer 25% discounts on short-haul and long-haul redemptions on Air France and KLM flights.
The September 2026 Promo Rewards are now live, and Canadian routes are back on the list after sitting out in August. Montreal is discounted in economy at 18,750 miles, and both Vancouver and Toronto are discounted in premium economy at 30,000 miles, although the Toronto fare is reserved for Flying Blue Extra subscribers.
Business class also makes a rare appearance on the transatlantic list, with Minneapolis and Mexico City discounted to 45,000 miles. Further afield, there are economy fares to Singapore and Osaka at 22,500 miles and a long list of business class fares to Asia and South America, with travel valid through the end of February 2027.
Flying Blue Extra subscribers get even more options with access to exclusive Promo Rewards, clearly marked with an "Extra Exclusive" label. These "Extra Exclusive" routes are only bookable if you're a Flying Blue Extra subscriber.
What Are Flying Blue Promo Rewards?
Promo Rewards are a major perk to being a member of Air France KLM Flying Blue. Promo Rewards are typically released monthly and offer 25% off in select markets on Air France & KLM flights in various classes of service.
If you can find a Promo Reward that works for your schedule, they're usually the best way to take advantage of the already competitive award pricing on Air France and KLM flights. Plus, the airlines have an excellent network in primary and secondary markets in North America, as well as expansive coverage across Europe.

Long-haul Promo Rewards
All long-haul Promo Rewards below are 25% off the standard award price for travel to or from Europe, and include connecting flights within Europe through Paris or Amsterdam. For Canadians, the headline fares are Montreal in economy at 18,750 miles and Vancouver in premium economy at 30,000 miles, both open to all members, with Toronto in premium economy at 30,000 miles available to Flying Blue Extra subscribers.

A check mark in the Extra Exclusive column means the route is only bookable by Flying Blue Extra subscribers.

Pricing & Booking Window
Air France KLM Flying Blue uses harmonized standard award pricing. For long-haul flights between North America and Europe, the minimum price you'll pay is the same whether you fly from Boston or Vancouver:
- Economy: starting at 25,000 miles (18,750 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
- Premium economy: starting at 40,000 miles (30,000 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
- Business class: starting at 60,000 miles (45,000 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
Short- and medium-haul flights from Paris or Amsterdam are priced lower:
- Economy: starting at 7,500 miles with a Promo Reward
- Business class: starting at 18,750 miles with a Promo Reward
Promo Reward tickets are available for one-way and round-trip flights, allowing for flexibility in your travel plans. Promo Reward discounts are only applicable on the lowest standard award pricing when available, and not on dynamically priced flight segments.
Keep in mind that Flying Blue Promo Rewards come with a booking deadline. You must book the September 2026 Promo Rewards by September 30, 2026; however, the travel window extends all the way through February 28, 2027, which covers the winter holidays and stretches into the February reading week.
Promo Rewards and the New Light Fares
There's a second date to keep in mind this month. On September 8, 2026, Flying Blue award tickets on Air France and KLM flights split into Light, Standard, and Flex fares, and Flying Blue has said that Promo Rewards will move into the branded fare structure as well, with early reporting pointing to them being issued as Light fares.
Light fares don't include changes or refunds, advance seat selection, or a checked bag in economy and premium economy, and Business Light fares don't include lounge access. Elite members fare better, as Flying Blue Gold keeps most of its benefits on a Light fare and Platinum members and above are largely unaffected.
Award tickets issued before September 8 keep their existing conditions. If one of this month's Promo Rewards lines up with your plans, booking in the first week of September gets you the current fare terms, including a checked bag and the ability to change or cancel for a fee. From September 8 onward, a Promo Reward will be the least flexible ticket in the lineup, so it's worth being confident in your dates before you book.

Conclusion
With rotating discounts of up to 25% across its network, Air France KLM Flying Blue's monthly Promo Rewards can offer great value for those looking to travel to, from, or through Europe.
After a quiet August with no Canadian cities, September brings three of them back. Montreal in economy at 18,750 miles and Vancouver in premium economy at 30,000 miles are open to everyone, while Toronto in premium economy at 30,000 miles is reserved for Flying Blue Extra subscribers. Transatlantic business class to Minneapolis and Mexico City at 45,000 miles rounds out a strong month for North America.
With the shift to Light fares landing on September 8, anyone eyeing one of these routes has a good reason to book in the first week of the month. Otherwise, the booking deadline for this batch is September 30, 2026, and Amex Membership Rewards points transfer to Flying Blue at 1:1 if you need to top up.
