Flying Blue Promo Rewards for May

The Air France KLM Flying Blue loyalty program is well-known for its monthly rotating series of Promo Rewards, which offer 25% discounts (and sometimes more) on short-haul and long-haul redemptions on Air France and KLM flights.
This month's batch went live on May 1, with highlights including premium economy redemptions between Europe and New York for just 30,000 miles, business class to far-flung destinations like Saint-Denis (Réunion), Buenos Aires, and Mumbai for 63,750 miles, plus a KLM business class option from Amsterdam to Toulouse for 18,750 miles.
Other discounts are available for both economy and business class flights to destinations across North America, the Caribbean, and beyond, with travel valid through the end of October 2026.
Unfortunately, no Canadian routes are featured in this month's promo, so flyers from Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary, and Quebec City will have to sit this round out.
Flying Blue Extra subscribers get even more options with access to exclusive Promo rewards, clearly marked with an "Extra Exclusive" label. These "Extra Exclusive" routes are only bookable if you're a Flying Blue Extra subscriber.
What Are Flying Blue Promo Rewards?
Promo Rewards are a major perk to being a member of Air France KLM Flying Blue. Promo Rewards are typically released monthly and offer 25% off (or more) in select markets on Air France & KLM flights in various classes of service.
If you can find a Promo Reward that works for your schedule, they're usually the best way to take advantage of the already competitive award pricing on Air France and KLM flights. Plus, the airlines have an excellent network in primary and secondary markets in North America, as well as expansive coverage across Europe.

Pricing & Booking Window
Air France KLM Flying Blue uses harmonized standard award pricing, which means that the minimum price you'll pay for flights from North America to Europe is the same whether you fly from Boston or Vancouver:
- Economy: starting at 25,000 miles (18,750 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
- Premium economy: starting at 40,000 miles (30,000 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
- Business class: starting at 60,000 miles (45,000 miles with a 25% Promo Reward)
Promo Reward tickets are available for one-way and round-trip flights, allowing for flexibility in your travel plans. Promo Reward discounts are only applicable on the lowest standard award pricing when available, and not on dynamically priced flight segments.
Keep in mind that Flying Blue Promo Rewards come with a booking deadline. You must book the May 2026 Promo Rewards during the month of May; however, the travel window extends all the way through October 31, 2026.

Overall, Flying Blue is a program that is rapidly growing in prominence for points collectors, especially with regular Promo Rewards, credit card partnerships, and competitive award pricing.
Conclusion
If you can position into a US gateway, the 30,000-mile premium economy fare to New York and the 63,750-mile business class fares to Saint-Denis (Réunion), Mumbai, and Buenos Aires are the strongest plays this month. Amsterdam to Toulouse in business class for 18,750 miles is the most efficient short-haul redemption on the list, though it's locked behind a Flying Blue Extra subscription.
For Canadian flyers, this month is a skip. Sit on the miles and check back on June 1, when the next batch of Promo Rewards drops.
