RBC^® Cash Back Preferred World Elite Mastercard^ǂ

The RBC^® Cash Back Preferred World Elite Mastercard is RBC's premium cash back card. As of October 1, 2026, it earns 3% cash back across a wide set of everyday categories and adds travel and mobile device insurance, in exchange for a higher annual fee.

The RBC^® Cash Back Preferred World Elite Mastercard^ǂ is currently offering a welcome bonus of 15% extra cash back on your first $2,000 in purchases in the first three months^{^}, worth up to $300 in cash back on top of the card's regular earn rates. To qualify, apply by February 2, 2027.

The annual fee is $120^†, and additional cards are $50^† each. A minimum personal income of $80,000 or household income of $150,000 is required.

The RBC^® Cash Back Preferred World Elite Mastercard earns:

• 3% cash back^† on groceries, dining, and food delivery
• 3% cash back^† on gas, EV charging, rideshare, and transit
• 3% cash back^† on streaming and digital gaming
• 1% cash back^† on all other purchases

There's no annual cap in any category, so cash back is unlimited^†. Categories are determined by the merchant's Mastercard merchant category code, and cash back is earned on net purchases only (not on cash advances, fees, or interest).

Until December 1, 2026, you can request your cash back as a statement credit by calling RBC once your balance reaches $25, or let it post automatically in December.

From December 2, 2026, you'll be able to check your balance and redeem at any time, with a minimum of $1, through RBC Online Banking or the RBC Mobile app, or by calling in^†. The automatic December redemption goes away at that point, so you choose when to redeem.
