Air Canada Expands Landline Motorcoach Service to Niagara, Muskoka, and Sarnia

Since launching its partnership with The Landline Company back in 2024, Air Canada has been steadily expanding its luxury motorcoach network across Ontario. What started with connections from Hamilton (YHM) and Kitchener-Waterloo (YKF) to Toronto Pearson (YYZ) soon grew to include Kingston (YGK) last fall.

Now, Air Canada is adding three more Ontario communities to the Landline network: Niagara, Muskoka, and Sarnia, with service beginning on June 15, 2026. On top of that, the airline is also bumping up frequencies on existing Kingston and Kitchener-Waterloo routes.

By this summer, Landline will operate a total of 26 daily departures to and from Toronto Pearson across six Ontario communities – a significant expansion of the regional connectivity feeding into Air Canada’s global hub.

What’s New

The three new communities joining the Landline network are:

• Niagara – Niagara District Airport (YCM), with 3 daily round trips
• Muskoka – Muskoka Airport (YQA), with 2 daily round trips
• Sarnia – Sarnia Chris Hadfield Airport (YZR), with 2 daily round trips (operating via Region of Waterloo International Airport)

In addition to the new routes, Air Canada is also increasing frequencies on existing services:

• Kingston (YGK) – increasing to 4 daily round trips (up from 2), effective May 1, 2026
• Kitchener-Waterloo (YKF) – increasing to 12 daily round trips, effective June 15, 2026
• Hamilton (YHM) – continues with 5 daily round trips

Niagara Falls Marriott Pickup

One particularly interesting detail: in Niagara Falls, the Landline service will extend beyond Niagara District Airport, with a pickup and drop-off point at the Niagara Falls Marriott on the Falls, located right beside the falls.

This means that travellers from across Air Canada’s global network can book a seamless itinerary all the way from their origin city to a hotel steps away from one of Canada’s most iconic destinations – and vice versa. That’s a pretty compelling proposition for inbound tourism, and it’s the kind of creative connectivity that makes this partnership stand out.

How It Works

If you haven’t taken a Landline motorcoach yet, here’s a quick rundown of how the experience works.

Passengers departing from a regional community will check in as normal at their local airport, receive boarding passes for all segments of their journey, and have their bags tagged through to their final destination.

From there, you’ll board a Canadian-made luxury motorcoach (built by Prevost in Quebec) featuring spacious leather seats in a 2-1 formation, free Wi-Fi, power outlets, tray tables, overhead storage, and an onboard lavatory.

Upon arrival at Toronto Pearson, you’ll head to the self-service baggage drop, proceed through security, and continue to your departure gate – just like a regular connection.

On the return side, if you’re arriving at Toronto Pearson and connecting to a regional community, you’ll collect your bag and bring it to the Landline motorcoach for your onward connection.

In the event of any delays on the ground or at the airport, Air Canada customers with Landline connections receive the same protections as those on air-only itineraries. That’s a meaningful benefit, and one of the key advantages of this being a fully integrated product rather than a separate ground booking.

Aeroplan Earning & Redemptions

Aeroplan members earn points for both the ground and air segments of their journey. The motorcoach service is also available as part of Aeroplan redemptions, so you can use your points to book an itinerary that includes a Landline connection.

As always, it’s best to charge your Air Canada purchases to an Aeroplan co-branded credit card to maximize your earning. Plus, if you book with Aeroplan points and pay the taxes and fees with your card, you’ll be protected by your card’s insurance coverage.

If you’d like to take advantage of Air Canada’s Landline motorcoach connections, you’ll simply need to input the regional airport code (e.g., YCM for Niagara, YQA for Muskoka, YZR for Sarnia) as your origin or destination when you’re searching for flights on the Air Canada website or app.

In the search results, you’ll notice a bus icon that shows the motorcoach service, and then an Air Canada logo for your connecting flight.

If you click “Details”, you’ll also see the flight number for the bus segment, and it’s clearly marked that it’s a bus operated by The Landline Company.

The multimodal service is also available for Aeroplan redemptions.

If you already have an Air Canada booking for a flight to or from Toronto Pearson, you can add a Landline segment at no extra cost by calling the Air Canada Contact Centre before April 30, 2026.
