Navigate to "View and Redeem Points" from your American Express dashboard, and then "Frequent Travel Participants" under the "Travel" drop-down menu. If you have multiple Membership Rewards accounts, you'll have to select the specific account you want to use under "My Points".
Before you transfer your American Express Membership Rewards points to frequent flyer programs or hotel loyalty programs, you first need to link your accounts. To get started, click the “View and Redeem Points” button on your American Express dashboard:
On the following screen, hover over the “Travel” drop-down menu and then select “Frequent Travel Participants”.
That’ll bring you to the screen with all the American Express transfer partners, where you can add your loyalty information and initiate the points transfer.
As a reminder, the transfer partners of American Express Membership Rewards and their respective transfer ratios are listed below:
British Airways Avios (1:1)
Alitalia MilleMiglia (1:0.75)
Cathay Pacific Asia Miles (1:0.75)
Delta SkyMiles (1:0.75)
Etihad Guest (1:0.75)
The Marriott loyalty program (1:1.2)
Lastly, keep in mind that every new American Express credit card that you open usually comes with its own Membership Rewards (MR) account in the back-end. When you link a frequent flyer program to a certain MR account, it doesn’t necessarily get linked to all your other accounts.
So if you have multiple MR-earning Amex cards, and they each show their own respective points balances (i.e., they are separate MR accounts), then linking an Aeroplan account to one card doesn’t necessarily link it to the others.
To toggle between your separate MR accounts, you’ll need to click through to “My Points” on the right-hand side:
And then use the drop-down menu to choose between your separate MR accounts:
