TD is currently offering $150 in cash when you open a new TD Student Chequing Account by November 2, 2026.

To qualify, you'll need to complete any two of TD's qualifying activities by January 2, 2027, such as setting up a recurring direct deposit, sending or receiving an Interac e-Transfer of $40 or more, or making an online purchase with your TD Access Card Visa Debit.

Keep in mind that TD markets its student package as up to $475 in value, which counts extras such as credit card and investing offers on top of the cash.

The TD Student Chequing Account has no monthly fee.

The no-fee status applies automatically until you turn 23, and it continues beyond that as long as you provide proof of enrollment at a post-secondary institution.

The plan also includes unlimited transactions, so everyday banking won't cost you anything.

The TD Student Chequing Account gives students the core of TD's everyday banking without the monthly fee.

You'll get unlimited transactions and free Interac e-Transfers, which covers the vast majority of a student's day-to-day banking needs.

The account also comes with the TD Access Card with Visa Debit, so you can shop online and in person anywhere Visa is accepted.
