Video: Amex Business Platinum vs. Aeroplan Reserve

The American Express Business Platinum Card and the American Express Aeroplan Reserve Card are two of the hottest credit card signup bonuses in Canada at the moment.

Both cards allow you to earn a staggering 75,000 points: Membership Rewards points on the Business Platinum and Aeroplan points on the Aeroplan Reserve, respectively.

Which one should you apply for in order to rack up the points? Let’s compare these two premium travel credit cards across all of the important criteria: the fees, benefits, and of course, the 75,000-point signup bonuses (including a “secret” 5,000 points somewhere in there).

Without further ado, you can watch the video below:

Thanks for this video, Ricky. However, it seems that the Aeroplan Reserve comes with Priority Pass (both Personal and Business) by what is mentioned on Amex website.

It comes with the underlying Priority Pass membership, but all lounge visits are subject to payment, so I wouldn’t really call it a strong benefit.

Thanks for the clarification, Ricky. I really thought I had free access with Priority Pass. Small prints, I guess. At least, I still have the Platine card.

Thank you for the clarification Ricky. I have the Aeroplan Reserve and I really thought I had free access to Priority Pass lounges. Small prints I guess. At least I can rely on the Platine card for Priority Pass.
