RBC has just introduced a great Marriott RBC Offer, through which Avion Rewards members can earn up to 6,000 RBC Avion points by spending at participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Canada.
This offer is valid for stays through to May 31, 2024, and it’s certainly worth considering for your next Marriott hotel stay, especially in conjunction with other ongoing promotions.
Earn Up to 6,000 RBC Avion Points at Canadian Marriott Hotels
Between March 4 and May 31, 2024, you can earn up to 6,000 bonus RBC Avion points at Canadian Marriott hotels with the latest RBC Offer.
To be eligible, you must first load the RBC Offer onto your Avion credit card account by April 30, 2024, and then you’ll earn the following amounts of Avion points based on your total amount of spending at participating Marriott hotels in Canada until May 31, 2024:
- Spend $500–699.99, earn 2,000 RBC Avion points
- Spend $700–1,199.99, earn 3,000 RBC Avion points
- Spend $1,200–1,399.99, earn 5,000 RBC Avion points
- Spend $1,400+, earn 6,000 RBC Avion points

Currently, Marriott Bonvoy is also offering members an additional 1,000 bonus points per stay and double elite night credits until April 29, 2024, through its global promotion. This RBC Offer will stack on top of that, since the credit card used during the stay doesn’t affect eligibility for Marriott promotions.
Marriott RBC Offer for Avion Select Members
If you’re not an RBC Avion cardholder, there’s a separate promotion available to anyone who opens an Avion Rewards account at the “Select” membership tier.
There should be a “Spend $500, earn 2,000 Avion points” offer available on your dashboard, which must be loaded by April 30, 2024. Then, you can earn bonus Avion points on stays through to May 31, 2024.
Note that you’ll need to first link a credit card to your account, and you can choose to link any credit card of your choosing.
The best option for spending at Marriott hotels in Canada is either the Marriott Bonvoy American Express Card or the Marriott Bonvoy Business American Express Card, since they both earn 5 points per dollar spent at Marriott hotels.
Since you can earn twice through this offer, you’d wind up with the following amounts of points, assuming you’ve made two transactions of exactly $500 each:
- 4,000 Avion points
- 5,000 Marriott Bonvoy points

The Marriott STARS or Luminous rates are the same as the best available flexible rate, which can be higher than prepaid rates, member rates, or corporate rates that you may also have access to.
