In Canada, it typically takes 2–3 business days from the credit card statement closing date before you’ll see the Bonvoy points in your Bonvoy account.
Once your Amex Bonvoy Card or Amex Bonvoy Business Card’s statement closes, you’ll typically see any points you’ve earned during this statement cycle deposited into your Marriott Bonvoy account after 2–3 business days.
The statement will show the breakdown amounts you’ve earned in greater detail, including the welcome bonus, the points you’ve earned from regular spending, the points you’ve earned from spending in bonus categories, and any referral points you’ve earned:
There’s no way to accelerate the posting process, and unfortunately there have been cases recently where points from the Amex Bonvoy Business Card took longer than expected to transfer. Unfortunately, in these situations Amex usually tells you to check with Marriott since they’ve sent the points already, and Marriott tends to point the finger back at Amex, so there’s little for you to do but wait.
For those with US-issued Amex Bonvoy cards, interestingly the welcome bonus will post off-cycle. On a recent new credit card, my statement normally closes on the 18th of the month, but you can see that I received my welcome bonus well before that:
