Atmos Rewards Global Getaways for October

Atmos Rewards has released its October round of Global Getaways, with six destinations across Europe and Asia on sale at up to 50% off the usual economy award price. One-way flights start at 20,000 points to Seoul.

As usual, the window is short. Bookings close on October 10, 2026, and travel runs from January 15 to March 8, 2027.

One thing to flag early. The terms say your flight must start or end in the United States, though a search from Vancouver to Paris did price at the sale fare.

How Atmos Rewards Global Getaways Work

Global Getaways is a recurring award sale that drops the economy award price on Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and partner flights to a handful of destinations, sometimes by as much as half. It used to run quarterly, but Alaska moved it to a monthly cadence in June 2026 as part of Atmos Members Day, which lands on the first Wednesday of every month. More rounds, but a booking window of only a few days each time.

If that sounds familiar, it's the same idea as Flying Blue Promo Rewards and KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes, both of which we cover every month. Two things set this one apart. The discounts extend to partner airlines rather than just the program's own flights, which is unusual, and they only apply in economy, where the other two include premium cabins.

Prices are "starting at" figures, and the discounted seats are limited and first-come, first-served. Nothing in the search results is labelled as a Global Getaway, so you need to know the price you're looking for and go find it.

To find them, log in on the Alaska Airlines website, tick the "Use points" box, and enter your route. Ticking "Flexible dates" as well brings up a calendar view showing the lowest award price on each day, which makes the promotional dates jump out.

A few program rules apply as usual. Atmos Rewards lets you combine Alaska Airlines or Hawaiian Airlines with only one partner airline on a single one-way, so an itinerary that needs two different partners won't price. You can add a stopover of up to 14 days on an eligible international one-way, which is a nice bonus on a discounted award. Lap infants aren't permitted on international partner awards, so a child under two needs their own seat at the going rate.

The October Destinations and Prices

The full list for this round is below, with the one-way economy starting price for each. All six share the same January 15 to March 8, 2027 travel window.

Seoul is the headline. A search for February 17 shows Alaska Airlines' new 787 non-stop from Seattle at 20,000 points with $6 (USD) in taxes and fees, and The Points Guy found the same price from Seattle and Los Angeles on most dates in the window.

Seoul is also one of two destinations tied to Atmos Rewards' new Communities. A trip there counts toward a bonus points challenge for the Families on the Go community, and Helsinki does the same for Global Locals.

Paris, Munich, and Helsinki are all priced at 25,000 points, which makes this a good round for Europe. Paris priced at 25,000 in our own search from Vancouver, covered below, while Munich and Helsinki are worth checking for your dates.

Stavanger and Sapporo sit at the top at 30,000 points. The Points Guy priced both from New York with about $34 (USD) in taxes and fees, which includes the $20 partner booking fee.

Sapporo is the more unusual pick. Winter is its peak season, so a January or February trip lines up neatly with this travel window.

Can You Book These from Canada?

The terms now say the flight must originate or end in the United States, a small change from September's wording, which only mentioned originating there. A trip that starts in Vancouver or Toronto and ends in Paris doesn't meet that test on paper.

Pricing doesn't seem to follow that wording strictly, at least on some routes. A Vancouver search for Paris on February 17 priced at the 25,000-point sale fare, routed through Dallas–Fort Worth on American Airlines with $87 (USD) in taxes and fees.

The trade-off is the journey, at just over 17 hours with a connection in Texas, but it saves you a separate flight to a US gateway. Since the terms still point to the US, I'd treat a Canadian departure as a bonus that works today rather than a guarantee, and search your own route before planning around it.

If your route doesn't price at the sale fare, the fallback is booking the award from Seattle, Los Angeles, or a US East Coast hub and getting there separately. Seattle is the easiest from the west, with Alaska Airlines flying from Vancouver many times a day, and it's one of the origins where the Seoul fare has been showing up.

The "or end" wording should also help on the way home. A one-way from Paris or Munich back to a US city ought to qualify too, though it's worth a search before you count on it.

Earning Atmos points from Canada takes some planning, since there's no Canadian co-branded card and no direct transfer partner. The workable routes are Marriott Bonvoy, which transfers at 3:1 with a 5,000-point bonus for every 60,000 points moved, and buying points. Atmos Rewards is currently selling points with up to a 100% bonus through October 19, and Alaska is pitching that sale directly at this round.

We value Atmos Rewards points at 2.2 cents (CAD) each, so a 25,000-point one-way to Paris, Munich, or Helsinki works out to about $550 (CAD) in points. Compare that with the cash fare for your dates before you book.

These awards keep the standard Atmos Rewards change and cancellation terms, so they're refundable at no cost apart from the $20 (USD) partner booking fee. With only four days to book, that makes it easy to lock in dates now and decide later.

Conclusion

Three European cities at 25,000 points and Seoul at 20,000 make this round worth a look for anyone planning a winter trip, and Paris even priced at the sale fare straight from Vancouver.

If I were holding Atmos points, Seoul is the one I'd search first, since 20,000 points across the Pacific is about as low as economy awards go. If Europe is the goal, the 14-day stopover allowance could add a second city to the same one-way.
