What I did was pre-pay $350 at the time of booking (if you reach out to reservations they will send you a bill for a deposit). The balance I paid at the property with a gift card that I had from an old Lifeexperiences.ca card that had been around the house for years.
Dang it, seems like I never get any of these good offers on any of my Amex cards.
