The BMO Blue Rewards World Elite®* Mastercard®* launched on June 2, 2026 as the flagship card on BMO's new Blue Rewards program, the rebrand of Air Miles.
It targets higher-income everyday spenders who want a single card for groceries, gas, wholesale clubs, and the 400-plus Blue Rewards retail network.
The headline draw is up to 100,000 Bonus Points as a welcome offer (worth up to $665 toward eGift Cards or in-store at participating partners), a $200 NEXUS statement credit, and the $150 annual fee waived in the first year. That puts the first-year value at roughly $800 by our standard methodology, with additional perk value layered on top from DragonPass passes, Instacart credits, and other lifestyle benefits.
The welcome bonus is structured across three spending tiers in the first 365 days.
You'll earn 45,000 Bonus Points after $5,000 in net purchases within the first 110 days, an additional 20,000 Bonus Points after $10,000 within the first 180 days, and a further 35,000 Bonus Points after $20,000 within the first 365 days.* That adds up to 100,000 Bonus Points, worth up to $665 toward eGift Cards or at participating Blue Rewards Partners.
On top of the points bonus, you'll receive a $200 NEXUS statement credit in your first year.* That's a strong inclusion for any frequent cross-border traveller.
The card also includes a 0% introductory interest rate on balance transfers for 12 months, with a 2% transfer fee.* If you're carrying a balance on a higher-interest card, that's a meaningful savings lever you can lean on in your first year.
The $150 annual fee is waived in the first year.* Cardholders who pair the card with a BMO Premium Chequing Account get the $150 fee rebated annually, which effectively makes this a no-fee card for BMO's premium banking customers.
