The BMO Blue Rewards Mastercard®* is the no-fee entry point into BMO’s new Blue Rewards program, the rebrand of Air Miles.
It targets Canadians who shop frequently within the Blue Rewards retail network and want to passively accumulate points without paying an annual fee.
The headline feature is the 5x earn rate at participating Blue Rewards Partners, paired with a 20,000-point welcome bonus and a 0.99% introductory balance transfer rate.
The welcome bonus is straightforward. Earn 20,000 Bonus Points after spending $1,500 in net purchases within the first 110 days of account opening.*
20,000 Bonus Points are worth roughly $133 when redeemed in-store at participating partners or on eGift Cards, based on the benchmark rate of 1,500 points = $10.*
The card also includes a 0.99% introductory interest rate on balance transfers for the first nine months, with a 2% transfer fee.* If you’re carrying a balance on a higher-interest card, that’s a meaningful savings lever.
There’s no annual fee on the primary card or any supplementary cards.
