RBC's top-tier chequing plan with multiple companion-account waivers and an iPad welcome offer.
Offer ends 2026-11-02
RBC is currently offering a new iPad as the welcome reward when you open a VIP Banking account. Rather than a cash bonus, RBC has leaned into Apple hardware for its chequing offers this year.
To qualify, you'll need to open the account by November 2, 2026 and complete the qualifying actions set out in the offer terms.
It's worth noting that hardware offers like this one tend to rotate, so the reward on the table can change once the current promotion wraps up.
RBC VIP Banking carries a monthly fee of $30, the highest in RBC's chequing lineup.
Through RBC's Value Program, holding multiple eligible products can bring the effective monthly cost down to around $22.50. Seniors pay a reduced fee of $17.05.
Keep in mind that there's no path to a full $0 waiver on this plan, so you'll always pay something each month.
In exchange, the account includes unlimited debit transactions.
As RBC's top-tier chequing plan, VIP Banking bundles in unlimited debit transactions and free Interac e-Transfers.
You'll also have fees waived when using non-RBC ATMs, which is handy if you regularly withdraw cash away from RBC's own network.
The plan extends beyond a single account. RBC waives the monthly fee on two additional Canadian-dollar accounts and one U.S.-dollar account, and throws in 12 free bank drafts per year.
Plus, the account comes with an annual rebate of up to $120 on the fee of an eligible RBC credit card. Deposits are eligible for CDIC coverage.
Terms and conditions apply. The information for the RBC VIP Banking Account has been collected independently by Prince of Travel and is not provided or reviewed by RBC. Offers, rates, and fees are subject to change — always confirm details on the financial institution's website before applying.
