Video: Flying Air Canada 787 Business Class

I flew in business class on the Air Canada Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner en route from Toronto to Shanghai, with a pit stop in Seoul.

Here’s the full flight experience, including Air Canada’s current international onboard service concept, as well as the arrival process into China and the entry into a 14-day quarantine hotel.

I booked the flights with Aeroplan points under the old program, and then changed to this flight after a schedule change to avoid paying the 200,000+ points it would’ve cost me under dynamic pricing.

Without further ado, you can watch the video below:

Thank you for sharing – Shanghai PVG airport is more organized than it was on my arrival into Shanghai on 08 March 2020 > more than a year ago now (a long year it has been)

Thank you for your informatice blog: Take care and enjoy Shanghai

Feel like a junkie watching this. Thanks for satisfying our addiction and enlightening us! Our country could learn something from their quarantine process.

I would like to ask you about the comment you made about the schedule change. I have tickets booked under the old plan to Turkey and Israel for September. I am not sure if the vaccine rollout for Canada and Turkey will be complete by then. So would I be able to change flights to next April with no increase in points? And would this be possible online. My current routing is YYC – YVR – IST. IST – TLV. TLV – IST – YVR – YYC.

You’ll only be able to make a change without an increase in points if there’s an involuntary schedule change (i.e., one of your flights gets cancelled or rescheduled by a significant margin of time), not if you simply don’t feel comfortable to travel.

Thank you for the clarification Ricky. Enjoy your time in China.
