Earn Double D$ with GHA Discovery

GHA Discovery is back with a new promotion. This time, the offer is focused on stays across three continents, making it a strong pick if you have travel to Asia, Oceania, or Africa on the horizon.
From now until August 31, 2026, you can register the offer and earn Double Discovery Dollars (D$) on eligible stays.
There’s no minimum spend and no minimum stay requirement. As long as you register before your stay and book direct, every qualifying night earns bonus rewards.
If you’ve got a trip coming up at a GHA property in Asia, Oceania, or Africa, it’s a great time to take advantage of this offer to earn extra rewards and work towards elite status.
Double D$ for Stays in Asia, Oceania, and Africa
The current promotion runs between July 1 and August 31, 2026, and is valid for all GHA Discovery members who register before their stay and book through official GHA or hotel brand channels.
Unlike some of GHA’s past global promotions, this offer is regional: it applies only to eligible stays at GHA properties located in Asia, Oceania, and Africa. That covers a huge swath of the alliance’s footprint, including Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL properties across Singapore and Southeast Asia, Anantara and Avani resorts throughout Asia, and Elewana lodges in East Africa, among many others.
Once you’ve registered, you’ll earn 2x the usual D$ back—that’s up to 14% in value depending on your membership tier.
| Tier | Base D$ (Expiry) | Bonus D$ (Expiry) |
|---|---|---|
| Silver | 4% (6 months) | 4% (6 months) |
| Gold | 5% (18 months) | 5% (6 months) |
| Platinum | 6% (24 months) | 6% (6 months) |
| Titanium | 7% (24 months) | 7% (6 months) |
A couple of terms are worth noting this cycle: the bonus Promotional D$ can be earned on a maximum of two rooms per stay, and Promotional D$ expire six months from the date they’re issued.
GHA Discovery also offers an extra D$5 per stay when you book through the GHA Discovery app, with no minimum spend required. This bonus has recently been extended: bookings and stays completed between February 2 and September 30, 2026 will earn the extra D$5 on top of all other earnings. It’s a small but easy bonus that stacks nicely on top of this promo.

What Are Discovery Dollars (D$)?
D$ are GHA Discovery’s cash-equivalent rewards, and D$1 = US$1 when redeemed at participating properties. You can use them toward your next stay, dining, spa treatments, or other eligible on-property charges.
Normally, members earn between 4–7% back depending on their elite tier. With this offer, that doubles—so a Titanium member could earn up to 14% back on their next stay.

Here’s a quick example: A $1,000 stay as a Titanium member would normally earn $70 in D$. With this promotion, you’d walk away with $140 in D$ to use on your next adventure.
A Quick Note on GHA Titanium Status
While this promotion doesn’t come with an instant status boost, it’s still a good opportunity to inch closer to GHA Discovery Titanium, the program’s top tier.
Titanium members enjoy enhanced perks, including:
- 7% back in D$ (or 14% with this promo)
- Complimentary full breakfast for two at Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL, and PARKROYAL COLLECTION hotels
- Room upgrades, early check-in, and late check-out (subject to availability)
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
With 2x the usual rewards on offer, this promo is a solid way to fast-track your way to Titanium—especially if you’ve got multiple stays lined up in Asia, Oceania, or Africa.

And let’s be honest, the breakfast perk alone makes it worth the effort. We’re talking a proper sit-down meal—not a “continental breakfast corner” stocked with cold croissants and a lone hard-boiled egg.
Unlike Marriott or Hilton elite members who often get shuffled into the carb zone of the buffet, GHA Discovery Titanium guests enjoy the full dining experience, just like regular paying guests.

If you already have a stay planned in one of the eligible regions, absolutely. A doubled rebate of 10% at Gold and up to 14% at Titanium is one of the more generous returns in the hotel loyalty space.
This offer is refreshingly straightforward:
- No minimum spend
- No minimum stay
- 2x D$ on eligible stays across Asia, Oceania, and Africa
- Bonus D$5 just by booking on the app
The main catch is the regional restriction—stays in North America and Europe don’t qualify this time around—and the bonus D$ are capped at two rooms per stay. But if your travels line up with the eligible regions, a 10–14% rebate with no hoops to jump through is hard to beat.
Which Credit Card Should You Use to Book?
Since these stays are booked in foreign currency and don’t always code as travel, you’ll want to use a card that still rewards hotel purchases while avoiding foreign transaction fees.
The Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite Privilege Card* earns 3x Scene+ points per dollar spent on travel purchases.
It also includes comprehensive travel insurance and has no foreign transaction fees, making it the best option when your stay is charged in a foreign currency.
It also comes with six free airport lounge visits, making it a strong all-around travel companion.

BMO VIPorter World Elite®* Mastercard is another great option as you’ll earn 2 VIPorter points per dollar spent on hotel purchases.
We value VIPorter points at 1.5 cents per point, so the earn rate is roughly on par with the Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite Privilege Card*.
However, since this card does have foreign transaction fees, it’s best suited for hotel bookings in Canadian dollars, or if you plan to redeem points for Porter flights in the near future.
