Earn D$50 per New GHA Discovery Brand, Plus a Chance to Win D$5,000

GHA Discovery is running a new promotion for the fall, and it’s a two-parter. The guaranteed half pays you D$50 for every eligible two-night stay at a brand you haven’t used yet in 2026, and the other half enters you into a draw for D$5,000 or Lifetime Titanium status.
The offer runs from September 1 to October 31, 2026, and you’ll need to register for the Scavenger Hunt before your stay for any of it to count.
Registering alone earns an entry in the draw, so there’s no reason not to sign up. Whether the D$50 bonuses are worth planning around depends on where you’re travelling this fall, and I’ll get into that below.
How the D$50 New Brand Bonus Works
The guaranteed part is the reason to pay attention. Every eligible stay of two or more consecutive nights at a GHA Discovery brand you haven’t stayed with in 2026 earns a flat D$50, awarded as Promotional D$.

If you’re new to the program, Discovery Dollars (D$) are GHA’s cash-equivalent rewards, with D$1 equal to US$1. They can be applied to room charges, dining, spa treatments, golf, and other eligible on-property spending at participating hotels.
One detail is easy to skim past. “New” means a brand you haven’t stayed with at any point in 2026, not just during the promotion. If you stayed at a PARKROYAL back in March, a PARKROYAL stay this fall won’t earn the D$50, even though it’s your first one of the promotion.
The bonus is also paid once per member per brand. A second stay at the same brand earns nothing extra, even at a different hotel, but there’s no stated cap on how many brands you can collect.
That’s what makes this interesting for anyone with a multi-stop trip. Two nights each at an Avani, an Anantara, and a PARKROYAL is three separate bonuses, or D$150 in total, on top of the 4–7% you’d earn on those stays anyway.
A few conditions apply, and they’re the usual GHA Discovery ones.
- The brand must be new to you for all of 2026. Any stay with that brand earlier this year, promotion or not, rules it out.
- You must register before the stay. Stays completed before registering don’t count, even if they fall inside the promotion window.
- Book on the GHA Discovery website or app, or directly through the hotel brand’s own site or app. Expedia, Booking.com, and other online travel agencies are excluded, as are tour operator, industry, and complimentary rates.
- Multiple rooms on one booking count as a single stay and earn the bonus once.
- Check-out must be on or before October 31, 2026.
- Promotional D$ expire six months after they’re issued, so plan a stay to use them.
The D$50,000 Giveaway
The sweepstakes runs alongside the bonus, with a total prize pool of D$50,000 across the whole alliance. Entries stack up in three ways.
| Action | Entries | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Register for the promotion | 1 | Once per member, no purchase necessary |
| Scan a Scavenger Hunt QR display at a participating hotel | 1 | Once per brand, no stay required |
| Complete an eligible stay | 5 | Per stay, any length, any brand |
Twenty winners will be drawn at random by December 7, 2026. Ten receive D$5,000 credited straight to their account, valid for 12 months rather than the usual six, and ten receive Lifetime Titanium status.
GHA hasn’t published the odds, how winners will be notified, or how long they’ll have to claim, so treat this as a free lottery ticket rather than a plan.
Of the two prizes, my honest take is that the D$5,000 is the one worth wanting. That’s US$5,000 of hotel credit usable at over 1,000 properties, which is a couple of very nice trips paid for outright.
The QR scans are the quirky part. You don’t need to stay overnight to earn that entry, so a lunch at a Kempinski or a spa visit through GHA’s Local Offers could pick one up along the way.
A Quick Note on Lifetime Titanium
Lifetime Titanium sounds like the headline prize, and it’s certainly nice to have. I wouldn’t call it jaw-dropping, though, for one simple reason.
Titanium is one of the easiest top-tier statuses in the hotel world to earn. Staying at three different GHA brands in a year gets you there, with Platinum after two, and we’ve covered how to reach top-tier status in as few as three nights. GHA also runs a paid status match every so often, with the most recent window closing on September 1.
In other words, the exact brand-hopping this promotion rewards is also the normal route to Titanium. A three-brand fall itinerary earns D$150 in bonuses, Titanium status through the end of 2027, and 15 stay entries, whether or not your name comes up in December.
The status itself is still worth having. Titanium members earn 7% back in D$, along with early check-in from 11am, 4pm late check-out, room upgrades, and complimentary breakfast at participating brands.
The breakfast is the perk I’d single out, since it’s a proper sit-down meal for two at Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL properties rather than a pastry corner.

For the right trip, yes. A flat D$50 on a two-night stay is generous by hotel promotion standards, and it lands on top of your normal earning rather than replacing it.
Take a two-night stay at US$180 a night. A Titanium member earns about D$25 in base D$ on that US$360, plus the D$50 bonus, for roughly D$75 back, or about 21%. A Silver member at 4% gets about D$14 plus D$50, or around 18%.
The math is strongest at cheaper hotels, where the fixed D$50 does most of the work. At a pricier resort, it’s a pleasant top-up rather than the reason to book.

Geography decides who gets the most out of this. GHA’s footprint is deepest in Asia and the Middle East, where Anantara, Avani, Kempinski, Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL, Tivoli, and Marco Polo often sit within the same city, so a single trip can string together two or three new brands without any detours.
Canada is the opposite story. Pan Pacific Vancouver and the two Pan Pacific Whistler hotels are the only domestic options, and they all count as one brand, so Canadians will need an international trip to make real use of this.
Where I’d draw the line is manufacturing a trip for it. D$50 doesn’t justify a flight, but if you’re already heading to Bangkok, Singapore, or Dubai this fall, nudging your hotel picks toward brands you haven’t used this year is an easy win.
Which Credit Card Should You Use to Book?
These stays are charged in foreign currency and settled at the hotel, so a card with no foreign transaction fees that still earns well on travel is the natural fit.
The Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite Privilege* Card earns 3x Scene+ points per dollar on travel purchases, waives foreign transaction fees, and includes strong travel insurance, which makes it my go-to for hotel bills abroad.

Conclusion
GHA Discovery’s fall promotion is worth a registration no matter what, since it costs nothing and puts one entry into the draw for D$5,000 or Lifetime Titanium.
The real value is in the guaranteed D$50 per new brand. If you’re travelling through Asia or the Middle East between now and October 31, plan two-night stays around brands you haven’t used this year, book direct, and register first. Three brands is D$150, Titanium status, and 15 entries for changing nothing but the hotel mix.
If your fall travel doesn’t take you anywhere near a GHA hotel, register anyway and let the draw do its thing.
