The Tangerine Money-Back Mastercard is a scaled-down version of the Tangerine® Money-Back World Mastercard®*.
The two products have an identical earning and redeeming structure, with the biggest difference coming down to the Tangerine® Money-Back World Mastercard* offering much more in the way of insurance.
The Tangerine Money-Back Mastercard is a good no-fee option for lower-income individuals to optimize their cash back categories.
Until November 30, 2026, this card is offering 10% cash back on the first $1,000 spent within the first two months, up to a total of $100.
That's in addition to the regular earning rate, so you could earn up to 12% return on spend on some purchases.
New cardholders can also get a 1.95% promotional interest rate on balance transfers for the first six months, with a 1% balance transfer fee (waived for Quebec residents). The transfer has to be requested within 30 days of opening the account, and the regular 22.95% rate applies to whatever is left once the six months are up.
There is no annual fee, and supplementary cards are also free.
