Video: New Record-High Bonuses on the American Express Business Cards

This week, American Express has put out brand-new welcome offers on their trio of credit cards geared towards small business owners: the Business Platinum Card, the Business Gold Card, and the Business Edge Card.

All three offers represent all-time-high bonuses that we’ve never seen before, including the first-ever “true” welcome bonus of 100,000 points that we’ve ever had here in Canada (no, HSBC doesn’t count).

It’s an excellent time to apply for any of these cards – although we’ll talk about why you should definitely start with the all-powerful Business Platinum Card, even if it’s $499 annual fee might appear intimidating at first glance.

Without further ado, you can watch the video below:

I got my amex business using your referral. Normally I would not have any issue hitting the min spending as I travel for work every week. Of course when I have a min spending I am trying to reach is when my company decides to give me all local projects. Now I need ideas on how to hit min spends.

Is buying miles/points from an airline program (ex. Alaska Mileage) would count for minimum spending purposes?
    Thank you!

I already have an AMEX Cdn. business Marriott Bonvoy cc. and am interested in getting an AMEX business platinum, if I am eligible for the welcome bonus. The T+C of AMEX business platinum say: ‘This offer is not applicable to holders of an existing American Express Small Business Card product’. So I’d like to know if the ‘holder’ is the business or the person whose credit score is verified? If it is the person whose credit score is verified, does this mean that I can only hold one of the AMEX Cdn business cc at the same time, to access any future welcome bonus?

Many cardholders have obtained the welcome bonuses on more than one Amex business card – these terms are either ambiguously worded or poorly enforced.
