Air Canada has announced some improvements to its onboard experience, and passengers can expect to choose from a wider range of food and beverage options going forward.

In terms of beverages, Air Canada now offers Earth’s Own oat milk, a non-dairy alternative, to passengers.

If you’re travelling with children, there will be more family-friendly options available on the in-flight entertainment system through a new partnership.

Air Canada Returns to Newark (EWR)

Last week, Air Canada also made its return to Newark (EWR) by re-introducing its presence at the airport. While the airline doesn’t operate a separate Maple Leaf Lounge at Newark (EWR), it now operates a dedicated customer service desk within the new United Club in Terminal A.

The new lounge, which opened in July 2023, features 1,400 square metres of space with seating for over 300 guests. Eligible passengers can enjoy entry through self-scan gates.

Inside, there are plenty of options to choose from, including separate buffet and bar areas.

Through the agreement, Air Canada passengers can now enjoy access to the new United Club in Terminal A in a manner consistent with access to other Maple Leaf Lounges.

How to Access Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges

This new presence becomes Air Canada’s latest step in expanding its lounge offering. This year, the airline has opened new lounges at Billy Bishop Toronto City Centre Airport (YTZ) and San Francisco (SFO), and has plans to further expand in the coming years.

Conclusion

Air Canada has announced some improvements to its onboard experience, with the debut of more food and beverage options to passengers, as well as more family-friendly content through a partnership with Mattel.

The airline has also added new features to the Air Canada App, which can help passengers enjoy a more streamlined airport experience.

Eligible Air Canada passengers in Newark (EWR) can also enjoy access to the recently opened United Club lounge in Terminal A, with an access policy consistent with other Maple Leaf Lounges.

These developments come as a continuation of Air Canada’s promise to improve its ground and onboard experiences, which it announced last fall.
