Marriott Bonvoy Offers 2,500 Bonus Points to Linked KrisFlyer Members

Marriott Bonvoy and Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer have launched a new promotion for members who’ve linked their accounts through the two programs’ preferred partnership.
Register, then complete three paid nights at Marriott Bonvoy hotels before December 31, 2026, and you’ll earn 2,500 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points.
There’s a limit, though. Only the first 20,000 members to complete their third night will get the bonus, so it pays to finish your stays sooner rather than later.
How the Promotion Works
The offer is open to members of both Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer who’ve linked the two accounts. Linking isn’t open to everyone, though. You’ll need Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status or higher, or KrisFlyer Elite Silver status or higher, and the names on both accounts have to match.
Many Canadians already have Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite through The Platinum Card® from American Express or the Business Platinum Card® from American Express, which is enough to link. If you don’t have a KrisFlyer account yet, signing up is free.
To earn the bonus, you’ll need to:
- Link your Marriott Bonvoy and KrisFlyer accounts on Singapore Airlines’ partnership page, if you haven’t already
- Register for the promotion between October 1 and December 31, 2026
- Complete three eligible nights after registering and before December 31, 2026
Registration closes at 11:59pm Singapore time on December 31, which is 10:59am ET that day.

An eligible night has to be a paid stay booked through Marriott.com or the Marriott Bonvoy app, at a rate that earns points. Award stays, Cash + Points bookings, Free Night Awards, and employee or travel industry rates don’t count.
Nothing in the terms requires the three nights to be consecutive or part of one stay. They do have to come after you register, though, so sign up before your next check-in.

The bonus points will post within eight weeks after the promotion ends, so expect them by late February 2027. They don’t count toward elite status.
Double Dip with Marriott’s Fall Promotion
At our valuation of 0.8 cents per point (CAD), 2,500 Marriott Bonvoy points are worth about $20. That’s not jaw-dropping, and it won’t change where you stay.

It gets more interesting if you can double dip with Marriott Bonvoy’s Fall 2026 global promotion. That one pays 1,500 bonus points on paid stays of two or more nights between September 22 and November 22, 2026, plus 3,000 more at resorts.
The terms for the KrisFlyer offer don’t exclude other promotions, so the two should stack. If you’re registered for both, a single three-night paid stay before November 22 could earn:
- At a regular hotel, 1,500 + 2,500 = 4,000 bonus points, worth about $32
- At a resort, 4,500 + 2,500 = 7,000 bonus points, worth about $56
That’s on top of the base points and elite bonus you’d normally earn on the stay. It’s still not life-changing, but if you already have a fall trip booked, it’s at least better than nothing.
Timing the KrisFlyer Gold Challenge
If you have Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite status or higher, linking your accounts also gets you instant KrisFlyer Elite Silver status. You can then earn KrisFlyer Elite Gold by taking four Singapore Airlines flights within six months of registering.
KrisFlyer Elite Gold comes with Star Alliance Gold status, which brings lounge access and priority services when you fly with Star Alliance airlines.

The flights have to be operated by Singapore Airlines and credited to KrisFlyer. Award tickets, codeshares, and group fares don’t count.
Keep in mind that you can only link your accounts once, and the six-month window starts when you register. If you’ve been saving the Gold challenge for a trip to Asia, linking now for 2,500 points could cost you a much more valuable shot at Star Alliance Gold.
The partnership’s other status perks are covered in our launch coverage.
Conclusion
This is a small bonus, but if your accounts are already linked, it costs nothing beyond registering.
If you’ve got three paid Marriott nights on the calendar before December 31, and especially a resort stay before November 22, it’s worth signing up. Just aim to finish those nights early, since the 20,000 spots go to whoever completes their third night first.
If you haven’t linked yet and you’re Platinum Elite or higher, decide first whether you’d rather save that one-time link for the KrisFlyer Gold challenge.
