National Bank is offering up to $600 in cashback on the Total Chequing account, using the same four-part structure as its other eligible plans.

• $300 for opening the account, making 20 transactions, and setting up three automatic deposits of $100 or more
• $100 for adding an eligible credit card
• $100 for an eligible mortgage
• $100 for opening a High Interest Savings Account

Keep in mind that the account needs to stay open for 12 months, and the offer runs through November 3, 2026.

The Total Chequing account carries a monthly fee of $28.95 for clients aged 25 to 59.

Seniors 60 and over pay $23.95, while young adults aged 18 to 24 pay a reduced $13.

You can have the fee waived entirely by keeping a balance of $6,000 or more, and holding an eligible National Bank Mastercard takes $10 off each month.

As National Bank's premium chequing plan, the Total Chequing account covers both digital and in-branch banking with unlimited transactions.

You'll get free Interac e-Transfers, plus 100 free cheques per year.

The account also comes with an integrated $5,000 line of credit.
