You can boost that to 2.75% by setting up recurring direct deposits of at least $2,000 per month.
It's worth noting that the boosted rate is ongoing rather than a limited-time promotion, so it holds as long as the direct deposits keep coming.
Fees
EQ Bank doesn't charge a monthly fee on the Personal Account.
Everyday banking is free as well, with no charges for Interac e-Transfers, bill payments, or pre-authorized debits.
