WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards Launch Cross-Loyalty Partnership

If you fly WestJet and shop at Canadian Tire, today's news is for you. WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards have officially linked up, letting members earn both WestJet points and Canadian Tire Money (CT Money) on everyday purchases and travel bookings.
The partnership is live as of March 25, 2026, and all it takes is linking your two accounts to start double-dipping.
WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards Join Forces

Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC) and WestJet have launched a cross-loyalty partnership that lets members of both programs earn rewards on each other's platforms.
Once you link your WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards accounts, you'll earn WestJet points when shopping at participating CTC stores, and CT Money when booking WestJet flights. Neither side cannibalizes the other – you earn both currencies simultaneously.
This is the third major partnership for Triangle Rewards, following the Petro-Canada integration in 2024 and the recently announced RBC collaboration set to launch later in 2026. For WestJet Rewards, it's a notable expansion beyond the airline's existing co-brand relationship with RBC.
How the Earning Works
There are two sides to the earn structure, depending on where you're spending.
At Participating CTC Stores
Linked WestJet Rewards members earn 1 WestJet point for every $2 of eligible spend at participating Triangle Rewards retailers. This is on top of whatever CT Money you'd normally earn – there's no reduction to your existing Triangle earning rate.
Participating retailers include:
- Canadian Tire
- SportChek
- Mark's / L'Équipeur
- Party City
- Atmosphere
- Pro Hockey Life / Sports Rousseau / Hockey Experts / L'Entrepôt du Hockey
- Participating Sports Experts locations
Points are awarded in $2 increments, so a $9 purchase would earn four WestJet points (with the remaining dollar not qualifying).
On WestJet Flights and Travel
Linked Triangle Rewards members earn 0.4% in CT Money on eligible WestJet purchases, including flights, vacation packages, and travel extras like baggage fees and seat selection.
If you pay with a Triangle Mastercard, that rate jumps to 1.0% in CT Money on WestJet purchases. The bonus applies to all linked members on the reservation, regardless of who holds the card.

Stacking with the Right Credit Card
Both the WestJet and Canadian Tire credit card families layer nicely with this partnership.
Holding a WestJet RBC World Elite Mastercard$2 You'll continue earning WestJet points on your purchases as usual, and now you can also stack CT Money on top when shopping at CTC stores through your linked Triangle account.
Similarly, Triangle Mastercard holders get an enhanced CT Money earn rate when booking WestJet travel. It's an easy way to layer two programs without changing your spending habits.
Converting WestJet Points to CT Money
In addition to earning, linked members can convert WestJet points directly into CT Money at a rate of 120 WestJet points = $1 in CT Money.

Conversions require a minimum of 2,400 WestJet points and must be done in increments of 600 points. Processing is typically instant but can take up to 48 hours.
For context, WestJet points are generally worth about 1 cent each when redeemed for WestJet flights (at the standard 100 points = $1 rate). Converting to CT Money at 120:1 is a lower value per point, so this option makes the most sense if you have points sitting around and would rather spend them at Canadian Tire than on travel.
FRANK Snacks on WestJet Flights

As part of the partnership rollout, a selection of FRANK snacks, a popular Canadian Tire house brand, will be served complimentary onboard WestJet flights. It's a small but fun touch that brings the retail side of the partnership into the cabin.
How to Link Your Accounts

Linking is available through three channels:
- The Triangle Rewards partnership page at triangle.ca/westjet
- The WestJet partnership page
- The "Offers" tab inside your WestJet Rewards account
You'll need both a WestJet Rewards account and a Triangle Rewards account. If you don't have one or the other, both are free to join.
Conclusion
WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards have launched a partnership that lets linked members earn both WestJet points and CT Money across each other's platforms. The earn rates aren't massive, but the fact that they stack on top of your existing earning – with no trade-offs – makes it an easy win.
For anyone who already flies WestJet and shops at Canadian Tire (which, let's be honest, is a lot of Canadians), linking your accounts takes a couple of minutes. There's no downside, and every little bit of incremental value adds up over time.
You can link your accounts now at triangle.ca/westjet or through the WestJet Rewards "Offers" tab.
