GHA Discovery Promotion: Earn Triple D$ and Up to D$100 at Minor Hotels

GHA Discovery is celebrating the first anniversary of its Minor Hotels partnership with a promotion that rewards stays at participating Minor Hotels properties.
From now through August 31, 2026, registered members earn triple Discovery Dollars (D$) on their first two eligible stays, plus a D$25 flat bonus per stay. If your second stay is at a different Minor Hotels brand, you'll pocket an extra D$50 on top.
If you've been eyeing an Anantara, AVANI, or NH Hotels property for an upcoming trip, this is a solid window to book.
What Is GHA Discovery?
GHA Discovery is the loyalty program of Global Hotel Alliance, a network of over 40 independent hotel brands operating in 100+ countries. Minor Hotels is one of the largest groups within the alliance, with brands like Anantara, AVANI, NH Hotels & Resorts, Oaks, and Tivoli.
Members earn Discovery Dollars (D$) instead of traditional points. D$ are a cash-equivalent currency redeemable for room nights, spa treatments, and on-property extras, and each D$ is worth exactly $1 (USD).

If you hold elite status with another hotel or airline program, GHA Discovery is running a paid status match that can get you to Titanium. For $150 (USD), you'll receive Titanium status valid through December 31, 2027, plus D$75 back in Discovery Dollars.
Titanium members earn 7% base D$ on eligible spend (compared to 5% at Gold), along with complimentary breakfast, double room upgrades, and late checkout at participating properties. Combined with this triple D$ promotion, the higher earning rate adds up fast.
The status match is open until April 6, 2026, so if you want to earn at Titanium rates on this Minor Hotels promotion, apply soon.
How the Triple D$ Promotion Works
This promotion marks the first anniversary of Minor Discovery, the partnership between GHA Discovery and Minor Hotels. Only stays at Minor Hotels brands qualify.
Participating brands: Anantara Hotels & Resorts, AVANI Hotels & Resorts, Colbert Collection, iStay Hotels, NH Hotels & Resorts, Oaks Hotels, Resorts and Suites, and Tivoli Hotels and Resorts.
Once you register, your first two eligible stays earn triple D$, meaning your base tier earning rate is tripled. Each stay also earns a flat D$25 bonus. If your second stay is at a different Minor Hotels brand than your first, you'll receive an extra D$50 multi-brand bonus.
There's a cap of D$500 per stay on the bonus portion of the triple D$. At Titanium tier (7% earning rate), you'd need roughly $3,600 (USD) in eligible spend to reach it, so most stays will fall well under.
Key dates and conditions
- Registration and booking window: March 23 – August 31, 2026
- Eligible stay period: March 23 – September 30, 2026
- Blackout dates (registration and bookings): May 1 – June 28, 2026. That's nearly two months where you can't register or make new bookings, so plan around this window
- Promotional D$ expiry: three months from issuance. Ideally, have a third GHA stay planned where you can redeem all the D$ you've earned
Only your first two eligible stays count toward the promotion. Bookings must be made directly through the GHA Discovery app or website, or through the individual hotel brand's site. Third-party bookings won't qualify.

Example: NH Hua Hin + AVANI Central Busan
Say you're a Titanium member planning trips to Thailand and South Korea and book both stays directly through the GHA Discovery app:
- NH Hua Hin: one night at $45.02 (USD) before taxes
- AVANI Central Busan: one night at roughly $82 (USD) before taxes

At Titanium tier (7% base earning rate), here's what you'd earn:
Stay 1: NH Hua Hin
- Base D$: D$3
- Triple bonus (2x extra): D$6
- Flat bonus: D$25
- App booking bonus: D$5
- First stay total: D$39
Stay 2: AVANI Central Busan
- Base D$: D$6
- Triple bonus (2x extra): D$11
- Flat bonus: D$25
- Multi-brand bonus: D$50
- App booking bonus: D$5
- Second stay total: D$97
That's D$136 back on about $127 (USD) in eligible hotel spend. This is an extreme example, but the point stands: the flat bonuses dominate on affordable stays. If you have a trip to Asia planned with even one or two Minor Hotels nights mixed in, the math works out very favourably.
Extra D$5 for Booking via the GHA App
You'll also earn an extra D$5 per stay when you book through the GHA Discovery mobile app. This stacks with the Minor Hotels anniversary promotion, so there's no reason not to book via the app if you can.

Which Credit Card Should You Use?
Since your stay will likely be charged in a foreign currency, pay with a card that charges no foreign transaction fees and earns well on travel.
The Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite Privilege* Card earns 3 Scene+ points per dollar on travel with no foreign transaction fees, making it a strong pick. Otherwise, the Scotiabank Passport® Visa Infinite* Card and the Scotiabank Gold American Express® Card both offer the same no-FX benefit.
One thing to keep in mind: you don't earn any D$ on the portion of a stay paid with Discovery Dollars. It works the same way as Marriott Bonvoy, where a points redemption doesn't earn points back. If you're sitting on D$ from this promotion or from buying D$ at a discount, plan to use them on a separate stay from your two promotional ones.
Conclusion
This is a generous promotion. With the flat D$25 and D$50 bonuses stacking on top of triple D$ earnings, you can earn back more than you spend on an affordable GHA hotel stay. Few hotel promotions offer that kind of return.
I've been quite happy with GHA Discovery so far, and with this promo I'm definitely going to try to work a Minor Hotels stay into my next trip. If you have travel to Asia or Europe on the horizon, it's worth registering and slotting in even a single night at an AVANI or NH property to take advantage.
