The Wealthsimple Visa Infinite+* Credit Card currently offers no sign-up bonus, not even a temporary boost or a statement credit. It's possible an offer gets introduced down the road, but for now, the value proposition rests entirely on the flat 2% cash back on everything, no foreign transaction fees, and an annual fee that most of its target audience will never pay.
That's a notable gap in a competitive market. Most cash back cards sweeten the deal for new applicants. The CIBC Dividend® Visa Infinite* Card and the TD Cash Back Visa Infinite* Card, for example, regularly run first-year offers worth a few hundred dollars in bonus cash back and fee rebates. You can see what the competition is offering in our monthly roundup of Canada's best credit card offers.
The fee is $20 per month, or $240 per year, billed annually for Quebec residents. It's waived entirely if you hold $100,000 or more in eligible Wealthsimple assets, or if you direct deposit at least $4,000 per month into a Wealthsimple Chequing account.†
You'll need an active Wealthsimple Chequing account to hold the card, and the balance can only be paid from Wealthsimple Chequing, as payments from external accounts aren't supported. Supplementary cards aren't available.
Eligibility requires a personal income of $80,000 or a household income of $150,000. Note that card availability is limited, and meeting the requirements doesn't guarantee approval.
For a deeper first-hand look at the card, read our full review of the Wealthsimple Visa Infinite* Card.
The Wealthsimple Visa Infinite+* Credit Card earns a flat 2% cash back on all eligible purchases, with no tiers, no caps, and no categories to track.† The 2% doesn't apply to cash-like transactions, refunds, or fees and adjustments.
With no foreign transaction fees, the full 2% also applies to purchases in any currency, with only the Visa network conversion rate in play.† Pair it with the Wealthsimple Prepaid Mastercard for fee-free cash withdrawals abroad and you have a complete no-FX travel wallet.

Cash back can be redeemed at any point into almost any Wealthsimple account. There's no annual payout schedule to wait for, and no points program to decode.†
Rewards land as real cash, so you can sweep them into your chequing balance, or straight into your investing accounts and put them to work. A flat-rate cash back card doesn't come with redemption sweet spots. 2% back is 2% back, and that simplicity is precisely the appeal.
Clients with $100,000 or more in Wealthsimple assets receive a metal card.†
The virtual card has no tap limit, so you can make contactless payments of any size from your phone as long as it's unlocked. The physical card carries a variable tap limit depending on the purchase type.†
Card management lives in the Wealthsimple app, where you can lock the card instantly, view and change your PIN, and set up auto-pay on a custom schedule.†
If you're after travel extras like lounge access and stronger insurance, the Wealthsimple Visa Infinite Privilege* Credit Card adds them at the same fee.
The Wealthsimple Visa Infinite+* Credit Card comes with an insurance package underwritten by Chubb Insurance Company of Canada:†
There is no rental car coverage on this card; that benefit is reserved for the Wealthsimple Visa Infinite Privilege* Credit Card.
The mobile phone coverage is a quiet standout, since it only requires your monthly phone bill on the card. See our guide to which credit cards have mobile device insurance for how it compares.
