The Laurentian Basic Account carries a monthly fee of $4.00. There's no balance-based waiver on the plan fee, though it can be dropped on request for seniors receiving the GIS, RDSP beneficiaries, newcomers in their first year, and social assistance recipients.
Keep in mind that Interac e-Transfers aren't included in this plan and cost $1 each on a pay-per-use basis.
Electronic statements are free, while paper statements add $3 per month.
