The Unlimited Chequing account carries a monthly fee of $8.50.
You can have the fee waived entirely by keeping a $4,000 daily balance, or simply by being 25 or younger or 59 and older.
Plus, setting up a direct deposit takes another $5 off, bringing the fee down to $3.50 per month.
As the name suggests, Unlimited Chequing comes with unlimited transactions for everyday banking.
The plan replaced Coast Capital's old Classic Chequing account.
Between the balance waiver, the age waivers, and the direct deposit discount, there are several paths to reducing or eliminating the monthly fee.
Coast Capital is a credit union, and deposits are eligible for CDIC coverage.
