Rove Miles Adds Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Virgin Red as Transfer Partners

Rove Miles has been building out its transfer partner network at a rapid clip, and the latest addition opens up some of the most popular premium-cabin redemptions in the points world.
As of April 7, 2026, Rove Miles now transfers to both Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Virgin Red at a 1:1 ratio.
Unlike some of Rove’s recent partner launches, there’s no transfer bonus attached to this one. But the partnership itself is the headline – Virgin Atlantic Flying Club unlocks access to sweet spots that points enthusiasts have relied on for years.
What’s New
Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and Virgin Red are now live as Rove Miles transfer partners, bringing the total roster to 17 programs across all three major airline alliances plus hotels and lifestyle rewards.
Both programs use the same currency, Virgin Points, so a single transfer gives you flexibility to redeem through either platform. Transfers are at a 1:1 ratio, with a minimum of 1,000 Rove Miles. Processing is usually instant but can take up to one business day.

If you’re unfamiliar with the distinction: Virgin Atlantic Flying Club is the airline’s loyalty program for booking flights, while Virgin Red is a broader rewards club covering experiences, cruises, and partner redemptions. Joining Flying Club automatically enrols you in Virgin Red as well.
Why Virgin Atlantic Flying Club Matters
Flying Club has long been a favourite among points collectors for its partner award bookings. Virgin Atlantic uses dynamic pricing on its own metal, but the real value lies in booking partner airlines through the program.
The classic sweet spot is ANA first class. A one-way flight to Japan in ANA’s legendary first class cabin costs 72,500 Virgin Points from the West Coast or 85,000 from the East Coast, with business class at 52,500 and 60,000 respectively. Those rates are hard to beat through most other programs.

Virgin Atlantic also offers competitive pricing on Delta flights, with economy awards from New York to London starting as low as 6,000 Virgin Points one-way. Business class on Delta One routes can be a solid deal as well, depending on dynamic pricing at the time of search.
For those targeting transatlantic premium cabins, Flying Club’s access to Delta and its own Upper Class product makes it a versatile program to have in your back pocket.
What About Virgin Red?
Virgin Red is the lesser-known half of this partnership, but it adds a dimension you won’t find with most airline loyalty programs.
Through Virgin Red, you can redeem Virgin Points for experiences, gift cards, and notably, Virgin Voyages cruises. If a luxury cruise appeals more than a flight upgrade, this is one of the few ways to redirect travel points toward that kind of redemption.

Since Flying Club and Virgin Red share the same Virgin Points balance, there’s no need to choose one over the other at the point of transfer. Move your Rove Miles over and decide later whether to book a flight or a cruise.
The Full Rove Miles Partner Roster
With these two additions, Rove Miles now transfers to 17 partners spanning all three major airline alliances:

My Take on This Launch
For Canadian travellers, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club has always been a program worth knowing about but tricky to fund. There are no Canadian credit cards that transfer directly to Flying Club, and the most common earning paths (American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards) are US credit card products.
Rove Miles offers an alternative route. If you’ve been earning Rove Miles through hotel bookings or the shopping portal, you now have a direct transfer path to one of the most versatile airline loyalty programs for premium-cabin awards.
Toronto to London Heathrow is particularly relevant here. Virgin Atlantic operates daily nonstop flights between the two cities, and Upper Class on that route is bookable with Virgin Points at dynamic pricing. That means Rove Miles could put you in a lie-flat seat to London without needing a US credit card.
Rove has typically run a transfer bonus when launching a new partner – 20% for SAS EuroBonus, 50% for JAL Mileage Bank. There’s no bonus attached to this launch, but the current SAS EuroBonus promotion runs through April 8, 2026. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a Virgin Atlantic transfer bonus appear once that wraps up.
Conclusion
If I had to pick one Rove Miles transfer partner to recommend for sheer versatility, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club would be near the top of the list. ANA first class from 72,500 points (from Canada), Delta economy from 6,000 points, and Virgin Atlantic’s own Upper Class product all become accessible through a single transfer. Virgin Red adds cruises and experiences on top.
There’s no launch bonus to create urgency here, so this is more of a “file it away and use it when the right redemption appears” addition. For a deeper look at how this all fits together, check out our guide to Rove Miles.
