Bonuses & Fees

As a welcome bonus, this card offers $60 cash back when you make a mobile wallet purchase within the first 90 days and six automatic payments within the first eight months for your Rogers, Fido or Shaw postpaid service†

This card doesn't have an annual fee, and you can add up to nine supplementary cardholders at no cost.†

Earning Rewards

The Rogers Mastercard® has a rewards structure that depends on your level of engagement with Rogers. Eligible Rogers, Shaw, and Fido customers will earn 2% cash back on all purchases. In order to qualify for the 2% cash back as an eligible Rogers, Shaw, or Fido customer, you'll need to have a combination of at least one qualifying service with Rogers, Shaw, or Fido. Qualifying services include postpaid Rogers or Fido-branded consumer mobile plans (including wireless home phone and tablet data plans) or any Rogers, Shaw, or Fido-branded internet, TV, home phone, home monitoring, or satellite plan. Otherwise, cardholders earn 2% cash back on all purchases in US dollars, and 1% cash back on everything else. It's important to note that the card has a 2.5% foreign transaction fee, so you may want to consider a no foreign transaction fee card for purchases outside of Canada instead.

Redeeming Rewards

Cash back can be redeemed with a minimum of $10 at a time. The cash back earned on the card can be used to offset any purchase; however, if you want more bang for your buck, you can use the cash back to pay for a Rogers, Fido, or Shaw bill and get 50% more value. That means you'll get $1.50 (CAD) for every cash back dollar applied towards your Rogers, Fido, or Shaw bill. Therefore, the card has an effective 3% cash back rate on all purchases, as long as you redeem the cash back against a Rogers, Fido, or Shaw bill.†

Perks & Benefits

Aside from cash back, the Rogers Mastercard® provides cardholders with five free Roam Like Home days each year, which is worth up to $75 (CAD). This feature lets Rogers subscribers use their mobile plan's call, text, and data allocations in 185 destinations abroad and be charged only a flat daily fee of $12 (CAD) in the US or $15 (CAD) globally. As a cardholder, you can also purchase a new phone with a 0% interest rate through the Equal Payment Plan.† To take advantage of this perk, you’ll need to pay for a new device that costs at least $250 using your Rogers credit card at a Rogers, Shaw, or Fido store, and afterwards, you’ll be able to set up financing for a 36-or 48-month term.† If you aren't able to pay for a phone outright, then this perk can be particularly useful, since you won't incur any interest or additional fees, as long as you make your monthly payments.†

Insurance Coverage

The Rogers Mastercard® doesn't have a strong suite of insurance. Cardholders enjoy transaction monitoring and alerts, as well as zero liability for unauthorized use.
