Rachel began her Miles & Points journey at 19, during her university days when she had the flexibility to travel but not the funds to do it in style—yet. After attending PointsU in 2019, she made her first redemption: flying her family of four to Italy in business class for just 100,000 Aeroplan points. From that moment on, she was hooked.
Rachel joined Prince of Travel that same year and now serves as the Product Manager across all Prince of Travel-branded offerings. While she doesn’t frequently write for the blog, her behind-the-scenes work shapes many of the tools, products, and experiences the community enjoys today.
Her expertise lies in finding niche redemptions that get you to every corner of the world, squeezing the most value out of every point. But it’s the community that keeps her inspired—whether that’s through our Membership platform or sharing stories over a drink at in-person meetups.
Rachel’s love for travel is rooted in a desire to experience the daily rhythms of life around the world. She’s learned that no matter where you are—developed or developing—the human experience is largely the same: we all want joy, connection, and a life well-lived.
She splits her time between Ottawa and Miami, but is usually on the move. Japan holds a special place in her heart, and she’s currently eyeing both the Christmas markets of Europe and the lesser-travelled corners of Central Asia for her next trip. When she’s home, she shares it with Hermes, her spirited Savannah cat.
