Here in Canada, there aren’t too many options when it comes to credit cards with no foreign transaction fees. Most of our best credit cards levy a standard 2.5% FX fee on foreign purchases, which adds to your burdens when you’re travelling abroad.

In this video, we’ll cover the three most prominent No FX Fee credit cards in Canada by HSBC and Scotiabank, and we’ll also mention a few alternative solutions for optimizing your foreign spending offered by Brim, Stack, and US credit card issuers.

    Helpful video! How does the CIBC AC Conversion factor in here? Was thinking of using that.

      It’s rather poor, since the 2.5% FX fee is embedded in the exchange rate that you pay when converting funds on that card.
