Video: An Introduction to Hyatt Hotels & World of Hyatt

World of Hyatt is one of the world’s leading hotel loyalty programs. With a fairly priced award chart and many high-quality hotels in its portfolio, World of Hyatt can play an important role in your hotel loyalty strategy, even though it lacks a Canadian co-branded credit card.

In this video, I’ll introduce you to the key things you need to know about World of Hyatt, including the award chart, the US-issued Chase Hyatt Visa, the elite status program, and Milestone Rewards.

I’ll also talk about a few clever ways to maximize your Hyatt hotel stays as you build loyalty with them, such as unlocking extra benefits by booking through Hyatt Privé or earning free nights with the Hyatt Brand Explorer feature.

Finally, we’ll finish off the video with a few shots from the impressive Alila Wuzhen resort, as well as the nearby Wuzhen water town from my recent trip.

Will be interesting to see in the coming months how many readers are “influenced” to now expand to Hyatt and regret not taking advantage of the double elite night credit promo that took place earlier in the year. 😄

as does hilton and it’s a shame because i go with marriott mainly because of the credit card points earning. in the SPG days it was absolutely fantastic for me, especially in asia (china, cambodia, thailand). a platinum member was treated like royalty and the upgrades were insane. i haven’t been back to asia since marriott took over but i was treated very well by hilton in japan as a gold member through the amex plat card.
